Support Forum

Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

× Contact Enhanced is a contact component manager created to replace Joomla! core contacts component and add lots of advantages and new features (see Features ) and it offers many plugins and modules for several different purposes,

Dear Daniel,

Did you have any custom field?

It seems that you upgraded from a very old version.

Now all fields are custom fields, therefore you need to have the Name, Email, Subject and message as custom fields. I've changed so it gives you more flexibility and this way you can re-order them;

Kind regards,

How would I go about changing the custom fields so that they work properly again?

Should I delete my custom fields in the Custom Field Manager and start over or is there a file I can edit to save time?

Thanks for the help!

Dear Pedro,

I found out the issue. I didn't foresee an upgrade from such an old version (1.5.2).
If you have access to PHPMyAdmin please execute these SQL statements:
ALTER TABLE `jos_contact_enhanced_cf`  ADD `label` VARCHAR( 100 ) NOT NULL AFTER `name`;
ALTER TABLE `jos_contact_enhanced_cf`  ADD tooltip varchar(255) NOT NULL;
ALTER TABLE `jos_contact_enhanced_cf`  ADD iscore tinyint(1) NOT NULL;
ALTER TABLE `jos_contact_enhanced_cf`  ADD params mediumtext NOT NULL;
I'm going to add these to the upgrade procedure as well as the custom default fields;

Kind regards,

Cheers Douglas! I took the easy way out as I was freaking out a little and uninstalled and just reinstalled. Working like a dream now.

The new layout of the custom fields is nifty. You've definitely been adding some nice features to this and well deserve 5 stars.

Thanks for your help mate!
