Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

I am having this issue as well. The only upgrade I did was from 1.5.8 to 1.5.8.1. I uninstalled the old component and plugin and installed the newer versions. I have custom fields defined, name, email, organization, special requests and phone. Do I need to add others?

There is no need to uninstall the component in order to install any upgrade any! ;-)

Can you please provide a link so I can take a look at the exact error message?

Also, please remember that there is no need to uninstall the old version and that backup is your best friend! ;-) I've worked a lot to make the update process very easy and safe, but accidents do happen, therefore I always advise to make a backup first;

Installed the attachment successfully. Now the error is:

Dear Laurie,

Even though you are using the content plugin, Contact Enhanced looks for a menu item. Can you please create a menu item for Contact Enhanced (It does not need to be visible) or just set Error Reporting to Simple in Joomla Global Configuration?

I'm going to remove that menu item check from the next version.

Setting error reporting to simple did not fix it. So I just made a menu item for the CE contact orders and did not publish it and still get the same error. What am I missing?
