Support Forum

Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

Hide "Show Route" only in some maps, not per default.

7 years 7 months ago #22204 by juergen852
Hi there,

we have two iStore Locator maps at two different positions on our website.
On one map, we want to display the "show route" button, on the other map it should be hidden.
I tried this using a customized command ( {istorelocator height=|600|} showdirections=IhideI} ) but it does not work.
Is there another way to do this?

Another question:
We have different kinds of stores to display within one map, we are using filters with tags in the metakeys so that our visitors can choose the desired kind of stores from a list. Depending on the search radius sometines the filter tag vanishes from the list because there is no search result within this specific search radius. This can be confusing as our visitors don't know that there would appear more tags if they extended the search radius.
Is there an option two show all tags per default?

Thanks.

Thanks.

Dear juergen852,

Show Directions syntax:
I've implemented this feature and I'll send it to your email in a couple of minutes. You can use the syntax:
show_directions=|0I

Show all filter tags by default:
It used to be like that and caused a lot of confusion because the user would click on the list and nothing would show. Therefore we only display the tags for the stores in the radius. What you can do is add a language override for two strings (see below) adding the instructions want. You can add these overrides either in Extensions -> Language -> Overrides or under the Languages tab in the plugin options.
PLG_SYSTEM_ISTORELOCATOR_RESULTS
PLG_SYSTEM_ISTORELOCATOR_NO_RESULTS_FOUND

Thanks for your help. We'll install the file and implement this new feature on our site.

Regarding the vanishing tags: What will be the effect, when we include the overrides? Will the tags always be visible and the "no-results-string" will appear when there is no content for the selected radius? What is the "results-string" for?

Thank you again for your help.

Best Regards.

Hello,

we've replaced the php file and added the new part to the line:
{istorelocator height=|600| category=|131,133,134,135| show_directions=|0|}
However, it does not work. :-( Is there something wrong with this line?

Thank you.

Dear juergen852,

I've sent the fix to your email.

As for the language override is just a language string in case you want to add/change the instructions regarding the results or tags. It will not change iStoreLocator behavior.
