Support Forum

Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

Expand-All-Feature / Table-Of-Content-Feature / Order of FAQs

7 years 7 months ago #22214 by juergen852
Hello,

we use iFAQ on our website and embeded it into an article.
We want to set it up like the example in your documentation ( idealextensions.com/joomla-ext...ct-enhanced/documentation.html ) but are facing some problems:
- Like in your example we have set up different faq categories and included different syntax lines in the article - separated by headlines. This works well except for the ExpandCollapse-Buttons which only open/close the FAQs of the first category. In your example, all categories open.
- How did you include the table of content above the FAQ-section on your documentation?
- Is there a way to sort the questions within one category? Tried it with the usual options of joomla but it did not work.

Thanks again for your help

Best Regards.

Dear juergen852,

In our example there's only a iFAQ -> Categories menu item. It is much easier than using multiple {ifaq} syntax inside an article.

Make sure you have a FAQ parent category containing all children categories. In the link you mentioned we have a Contact Enhanced FAQ category with the following subcategories and articles in each one of them:
Getting Started, Form Fields, Customizing your forms, Menu items, Using plugins and modules and Troubleshooting.

Then go to Menus, your menu item and create a new iFAQ -> Categories menu item, and configure it accordingly to your needs.

Ordering
In the Menu item under the List layouts tab set Article Order to the order you want.

Table of Contents
Go to Components -> iFAQ, click on the Options button and under the Categories tab set "Show anchors" to Yes.

Best regards,
