Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

MOOFAQ Plugin Ordering

11 years 3 months ago #13571 by tomwi
Unless I didn't understand - In topic "Articles. How Do We Order Questions Alphabetically" you wrote that the order was based on the ordering in article manager.

I am using the latest MOOFAQ plugin with Joomla 2.5.8. On my development site the Article Manager Ordering does not determine the order of the MOOFAQ. I have discovered that the ordering appears to be based on the article create date and time. I can reorder by changing the article create date & time.

Is it possible that something has changed in the latest release? I should probably enter this in the new feature area but it would be great if we could enter a list of article IDs to display.

Dear Tom,

If you use the menu item you have full control over the ordering under the List options.

I assume you are using the plugin and embedding MooFAQ into an article.
I've been trying to figure this out and I cannot understand why MooFAQ is trying to order the articles by "featured ordering" in the plugin, so I've decided to remove the option to order by featured. It is not relevant for MooFAQ anyway.

I have sent you a file with the fix.

Please upload it to:

Hey Douglas,

I'm also wondering how to control the order for embedded faqs.

Did you just issue a fix for this?
