Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Map Tab missing in configuration in latest version

Hi

I have just uploaded/upgraded the latest version of Contact Enhanced and noticed that the "Map" tab is missing in the configuration. Therefore I can't add the Google Map API Key.

If I install over the previous version it holds the API key inputted in the previous version but without the tab I can't see how to add the API key with a fresh install of the latest version.

Not sure if how you input the API key has changed or if it is a bug in the new version.

Dear Actioncs,

The latest version is using Google Maps API version 3, which no longer requires an API key, therefore the Maps tab was no longer required.

GMaps V3 is especially designed to be faster and more applicable to mobile devices, as well as traditional desktop browser applications.

I also just noticed that when the the image is selected for the form it also appears in the balloon on the map. Can that be turned off in the ballon only ?

Dear Wayne,

You can add anything in the balloon. By default it adds the image + address, however if you want to change you can set the Component Parameter "Info Window" to show an Extra field.
The Extra Fields are right below the Contact info.

I did that and set to "extra field_1"

and got this php error

Catchable fatal error: Object of class GMaps could not be converted to string in /home2/acsdevbi/public_html/arch/components/com_contact_enhanced/helper/gmaps.php on line 202

Also what fields are used for the map as google map is not locating the correct address ? I presume it is the contacts address fields?

Also when map is set to "Modal View" the link appears, the link activates the window but with no map.
