Support Forum

Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

Dear Hisslink,

1. Are you using the latest versions of Contact Enhanced and Joomla?

2. Do you get the email with the attachment?

3. Keep in mind that emails are only saved if you set Contact Enhanced to save (record) the submitted forms in the Component Options under Contact Form.

Best regards,

Hello,

1. Joomla and all extensions are up to date.
2. No I don't get the attachments, that is the problem I described.
3. The submitted forms are saved, but also without the uploads.

Dear Hisslink,

1. Is the uploadedfiles writable?
2. Did you change the upload directory?
Please open:
/components/com_contactenhanced/defines.php
Find:
CE_UPLOADED_FILE_PATH
and make sure it points to a valid directory/folder.

3. It does not seem to be a javascript issue, however just to be sure, can you please test in other browsers?

Hello Douglas,

1. Yes, it is set to 777
2. No, didn't change anything -> JPATH_ADMIN_COMPONENT.'uploadedfiles/');
3. Tested it in IE10, Firefox and Chrome, but no result in any case.

Dear Hisslink,

I'm not sure what is happening. Which Exact Joomla version are you using? 2.5 OR 3.1? In need to know in order to perform some tests locally.

I'm using Joomla 3.1.1.
Could it be a security thing? I'm using an SSL certificate to secure private data.

Dear Hisslink,

I've never had this problem with SSL. Are you using any other Security Extension such as Admin Tools or any Firewall app?

Is this site on a Windows or Linux server?
Are you using DSO, FCGI or suPHP as the PHP handler?
If you are usin FCGI OR suPHP the file permission should be 755.

Hello Douglas, I'm not using any other security extension. The site is on a Linux server.
Is it helpful if I give you a username and password for the site?

Dear Hisslink,

Are you using DSO, FCGI or suPHP as the PHP handler?
If you are using FCGI OR suPHP the file permission should be 755. This could cause the problem.

Please create a full backup (for safety reasons), then provide super administrator account. You can send the log in details to the Support -> Email form OR just reply to the forum notification email.
