Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Hello,

Recently a customer noticed that there is a problem with my contact form. When he uploads a files (40mb in this case) and send the form, it won't show the 'thank you page' and no email has been send.
When I change the limit from 100mb to 10mb, I still got the same problem. With a 5mb file, it all works ok.
And besides that, it is also possible to upload a files bigger than the limit of 10mb!
What could be the problem? I'm using Joomla 1.6.3 with ContactEnhanced 1.5.8.7

Dear Proso,

First of all you need to upgrade Contact Enhanced because CE 1.5 is not meant to work with Joomla 1.6 OR newer, so you will probably also have other problems in the future.

Second, The form submission for large items (40Mb for instance) will most likely take a while and the server can throw a Time Out error depending on the user's internet speed. Also, the Server has some file size restrictions for uploads. Please read this article:

It worked! But how come you don't get a warning when you try to upload a file bigger than the max file size parameter (set in backend of joomla)?

Dear Proso,

Contact Enhanced uses Joomla System Messages to display errors and warnings.
Some templates do not implement the system message, if that's your case, please read this:
