Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Display local time in the Messages window in the Admin

Hello, We have purchased Contact Enhanced component and are using on our website. However, when we see the received messages in the admin, we are seeing different timestamp for the date & timestamp. Our servers have a local time in PST. I believe the timestamps in GMT. How can we change the time to PST?

Dear reddyvenky,

Is the "Server Time Zone" setting in Joomla Global Configuration set correctly?
Contact Enhanced uses all Joomla functions to handle time, so it should display the correct date and time;

Which Joomla version are you using?
Are you using the latest CE version? Which one?

Hi Douglas

Thank you very much for your quick response. We are using com_contact_enhanced_1.5.11.2 full package. Our joomla is 1.5.25 version. We have GlobalConfiguration->Server->Locale Settings->Time Zone set to PST already. Any ideas?

Dear reddyvenky,

Are you talking about the email date OR about the {timestamp} tag in the HTML template?

Contact Enhanced does not set the email date, I believe it is added by the mail server OR Joomla's phpmailer.

Hi Douglas, I am talking about the date/time that get displayed for the messages under Components -> Contact Enhanced -> Messages. When our staff visits this page, all of the messages are displayed in a window with various fields like - ID, Name, Email, Date etc. When our staff looks at Date column, it seems to be in GMT. Our staff works in PST. Joomla global config and the server time etc are all in PST. We are trying to see if the message date display can be displayed using our local time.
