Support Forum

Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

× This Captcha plugin works with any Joomla extension capable of using the Joomla core captcha plugin system. It generates complex images and CAPTCHA codes (including math problems) to protect forms from spam and abuse.

SecurImage Audio - Question and Problem with Safari

5 years 7 months ago #24471 by neilw
Interesting. I thought I would check for any errors and am now getting this in Javascript Consoles when I open the Feedback slider or go to the Contact page. It still allows correct captcha function and audio in FF and Chrome, and it sends the email form just fine.
tracmarketing.com

This is from Chrome:
securimage.js:39 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'getElementsByTagName' of null
    at SecurimageAudio.init (securimage.js:39)
    at new SecurimageAudio (securimage.js:29)
    at index.php?option=com_contactenhanced&view=contact&id=1&content_url=TWNxZr/MT2lPkFbBkSX36Z/REfl3m5L25hey57hkAfjfyINXAFge3JEWD8CpZxie&tmpl=component&plugin_load_method=modal:291

This is from Safari:
Error TypeError: null is not an object (evaluating 'this.audioElement.getElementsByTagName')
	init (securimage.js:39)
	SecurimageAudio (securimage.js:29)
	Global Code (index.php:292)

Dear Neil,

I've been working several hours in order to figure this out. I'm getting a 200 response for the audio file, so it is downloading to the iPhone, but not playing for some reason I can't understand.

If I can't figure this out until tonight, I'll disable the Audio Captcha for iOS, at least for now.

Best regards,

This is what I'm getting in latest Safari 12.0.1 in High Sierra with Joomla 3.9.1.
[Error] Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 () (securimage_play.php, line 0) ....securimage_play.php?namespace=si_2075447270&id=5c095a09b292

Still works fine in Firefox but not Safari.

No big rush on this, but just thought I'd check back.

I just tried it with the latest Firefox on an iPad and it does not work there as well. Thanks.
