Support Forum

Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

Links that will open predefined locations in the store locator map

5 years 5 months ago #24653 by PaulT
Is it possible to have a list of States such as NSW, SA, QLD, VIC where NSW has a link that opens the site locator with all the stores in New South Wales and SA opens all the South Australian locations etc. Instead of doing a search from a input, it is just a predefined link?

Dear Paul,

Yes, there is. You can just add filter_state={contact_state} to the URL's query string. Where {contact_state} is the state you want to display.
For example, if you are using SEF URLs and want to filter by NSW state:

domain.com/path/to/istorelocator?filter_state=NSW

Example if you are NOT using SEF URLs:

domain.com/index.php?com_content&view=article&id=1&filter_state=NSW

Best regards,

Thanks, that didn't quite work for me but the following did:
home?country=Australia&city=Adelaide&state=SA&#map
I had to add the #map on the end to get it to scroll to the map which is halfway down the page.

If I used filter_state=NSW it just kept saying no result widen your search.
