Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Hello, I have noticed that the Geo-Location has just stopped working in the Istore Locator map. I have updated Istore Locator and Contact Enhanced to the latest version and also added the Google API key but still have the same issue.

Dear Karen,

I have already replied to the email you've sent, so I just want to reply to the forum post for future reference.

An API Key to use Goolge Maps API V3 is now required. You might experience issues with exceeding request limit. In order to avoid this and other relates issues you can set up an API Key, and it's actually beneficial, because you then get usage reporting.

Follow these steps to get an API key:
  1. Go to the Google Developers Console .
  2. Create or select a project.
  3. Click Continue to enable the API and any related services.
  4. On the Credentials page, get a Browser key (and set the API Credentials).
    Note: If you have an existing Browser key, you may use that key.
  5. To prevent quota theft, secure your API key following these best practices .
  6. Make sure to enable Google Places API Web Service , Google Maps JavaScript API , Google Maps Geocoding API , Google Maps Directions API , Google Maps Distance Matrix API , Google Maps Geolocation API ;
  7. (Optional) Enable billing. See Usage Limits for more information.

Then add your API key to the Component Options, under the Maps tab (if you are using Contact Enhanced Component) or to the iStoreLocator plugin options.

Also, I see your site doesn't have a SSL certificate (https://) and Google Chrome no longer allows Geocoding or reverse geocoding for websites without a encryption (SSL).
