Support Forum

Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

Some features I want

Hi there,
can I track how many people click on the link in the recommend email ("wants you to visit" one)? Also, the email falls into spam folder. Any way to avoid that? And if recipient can be a pulldown menu of Joomla registered users, or smart fill up with user data from Joomla? I am thinking of buying iRecommend. Thanks

Dear Wanda,

1. Yes, you can choose to receive a blind copy of each email if you want to.
2. Using SMTP as the Mailer in Joomla Global configuration solves most of the email delivery problems. For more information, please read the article below (item #5):
idealextensions.com/joomla-ext...emails-are-not-being-sent.html
3. If the user is logged in, the form will automatically fill his name and email as the Sender (not recipient).

Hi there,
1) I think I haven't made myself clear enough. In the recommendation email, there is a link that leads to the recommended page. Can we tell if the recipient has clicked the link?
2) ok
3) I want there be a pull down menu on the recipient box, so don't need to input recipient email address if that recipient is a registered user in joomla
Thanks!

Dear Wanda,

1 and 3. There are no such features and I have never had such requests (specially the last one). Anyway, I can implement as a Custom Job, if you are interested, please send me an email using the Support -> Contact Form with the following information and I'll send you a quote.

1. What exactly do you want to track? IP Address, IP Based Location (Geo Location), date and time, whether the user was logged in or not...?

3. Do you expect all recipients to be registered in Joomla?

Best regards,

Hi Douglas,

It's part of a bigger referral system. We want to see if customers really click the link, which will eventually bring them to make transaction. Even if no purchase happens, clicking-the-link can still be regarded as "lead" and we want to know how often that happens

Thanks

Dear Wanda,

Right now there's no such option.

Send us an email using the Support -> Contact form if you'd like us to quote this customization for you.
