Support Forum

Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

× Contact Enhanced is a contact component manager created to replace Joomla! core contacts component and add lots of advantages and new features (see Features ) and it offers many plugins and modules for several different purposes,

Error updating - possibly PHP 7.0

3 years 8 months ago #25576 by wneill
I am trying to update my CE to 3.9.10.1. I downloaded the PLUS pkg zip file and extracted it on my computer. From Joomla, I chose "Extensions, Manage, Install", then "Choose file" and I chose the com_contactenhanced.zip file. I am getting this error: "Class 'Joomla\CMS\Log\Log' not found". This site is using PHP 7.0.

Dear wneill,

Contact Enhanced should be compatible with all variants of PHP 7.

Can you please set Error Reporting to Maximum and enable System debug in Joomla Global Configuration, then try again?
Let us know if you get a more detailed error description or a call stack.

Best regards,

That's a very old Joomla version. Can you upgrade to Joomla 3.9?

OK, I updated to Joomla 3.9.1 and then uploaded and it worked. My apologies. You can close this ticket.
